Pvt schools not under uniform timing rule

SHILLONG: Private schools will be exempted from the new rule of uniform timing that was announced by the Directorate of School Education and Literacy (DSEL) on Sunday.
Ambrose Marak, head of the department of School Education and Literacy, said while government and government-aided schools have to follow the timing, private schools are not included in it. Special category schools which include Shillong Public School, Pine Mount School, Tura Public School and Jowai Public School — have been exempted from the regulations, a government source said.
