SHILLONG: The cabinet on Tuesday approved the grievance redressal policy under the new pension system. After the cabinet meeting Chief Minister Mukul Sangma told reporters that if retired government employees are confronted with grievances, they can air their problems.
There are three formats– letters, emails and telephonic conversation– through which the employees can air their grievances.
The grievances will be addressed at two levels, one by chief grievance redressal officer under Finance department and another by grievance officer under Accounts and Treasury department.
If the grievances are still not addressed, people can furnish their grievances to National Pension Scheme Trust.
“The people will have a concurrent solution rather than postmortem of what happened,” the chief minister said.  Guv’s address finalised
The cabinet also finalised the Governor’s address for the budget session after going through several points put forward by the departments.
