SHILLONG: The Department of Field Publicity, Nongstoin Unit had recently organised a two-day public awareness campaign on MI (Mission Indradhanush) and RMNCH+A (Reproductive Maternal, New born child and Adolescents Health) on March 1 and 2 at Mawthungkper village and St. Francis College, Siejlieh, West Khasi Hills.
On the first day the programme, D. Jyndiang, Member of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly inaugurated the campaign at Mawthungkper village as chief guest. Jyndiang had urged the audience to come forward and avail those health services at various health centres and hospitals. He also appealed to all concerned departments to give their best service and make the country healthy and strong nation.
On the second day of the campaign, Arun Kumar Kembhavi, IAS Deputy Commissioner West Khasi Hills who attended the event as a Chief Guest strongly emphasised the duty of each and every citizen of the Nation in spreading the information about MI & RMNCH+A.

Zoramthangi, AIR, Nongstoin, Rapborlang Rynshiang, DDK and Meghalaya Guardian representative, Robert Passah, 108 –Marketing & Media Relation, Shillong, Dr. A.M.Farooqi, IIS Dy.Director, DFP(MMT) Shillong, Bro.Sylvester Lugun, Principal St.Francis College, Bro.Pradip Kerketta, Principal St.Francis Sec.school, Rangbah Shnongs and Secretaries of the villages among others.
