SHILLONG: RTI activist Disparsing Rani has pointed out that temporary or adhoc appointments, and appointment of work charged employees are still continuing despite the state government’s order to stop such appointments.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said, “Currently there are 136 people employed as work charged, besides  174 officiate and 45 adhoc employees.”
As per reply to  RTI, he said that the Commissioner  and Secretary to the Government of India, Personnel & A.R. (B) department, stated that inspite of various instructions banning adhoc appointments, there have been appointing authorities in the state government who had made temporary or adhoc appointments without going through the prescribed procedure.
Again, appointment of work charged employees will be stopped as per the state government order.
