1 died in road acident
A driver of an auto-rickshaw (ML-10A-8281), Ioanis Kurbah (35) died on the spot after the vehicle was dashed against a road divider at Mawdiangum, Ri Bhoi on Tuesday at about 10.20 am.Necessary formalities were observed and the cadaver was sent to CH Nongpoh for PM examination.
A truck coming from Guwahati drove off the road and overturned on the Jowai by-pass under Thadlaskien Block on March 8 at about 4.44 am. As a result the driver and the helper sustained injuries. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance helped in shifting the injured driver, Service Singh (24) and Toto Debnath (21) to Jowai Civil Hospital.
