SHILLONG: The Pinewood Hotel Workers’ Union has accused the executive engineer MTDC, Md M.U. Ahmed, of highhandedness.
In a press communiqué, the general secretary of the union said Ahmed is interfering in the matter of MTDC that does not pertain to his job.
He alleged that a Khasi employee was sacked and another was transferred at his behest.
The union also pointed out that Ahmed spends a huge amount of money on repair and renovation and the employees are worried whether there is enough money left for salaries.
The employees demanded a proper investigation into this and sought necessary action against Ahmed. They also urged the authority concerned to direct the engineer to mend his ways.
