SHILLONG: Landslide in coal quarry killed a man at Damal Dipogre inWest Garo Hills, a delayed report said.
The incident happened on February 28, when one person identified as Nasen A Sangma died due to land slide in a coal quarry. Deputy Commissioner, Pravin Bakshi said that man might have died while stealing from the mine, which has been closed following the NGT order.
Police has issued an advisory to keep a close vigil to ensure that the locals do not go to closed mines which are unsafe.
