Wanted criminal nabbed in Mendipathar

TURA: A wanted criminal involved in arms racketeering for militants was arrested by North Garo Hills police on Sunday night.
Following a tip off, cops from Mendipathar police station conducted a search operation in a house and nabbed Rakchak M Momin of Mongprangro village and recovered from his possession a pistol and a magazine.
According to police, the accused had been evading arrest for a long time.
He is accused of being involved with militants by helping them with logistics such as supply of arms. He is also accused of several crimes including dacoity cases in the district.
