Bennet, Reddy top seeds in natl badminton meet

Kolkata: Antony Bennet and M. Arjun Kumar Reddy will be given top seeding in the men’s doubles section of the Bishnupriya Kundu Memorial All-India Senior Doubles Ranking Badminton Tournament which starts here on Wednesday. Telangana’s Arjun is ranked seven at the all India level while Bennet of Kerala is ranked 13th in the doubles as the duo will begin their campaign against a qualifier at the Sports Authority of India’s (SAI) eastern centre. Vighnesh Devlekar of Air India will partner Saurabh Sharma as the duo were billed second seed in the draw of 32 which includes eight qualifiers. (IANS)  The four-day meet will also feature veteran star shuttlers V. Diju and Chetan Anand.  The women’s section will be a draw of 16 where India number nine Agna Anto of Kerala and number six Sneha Santhilal are the top seeds.  — IANS
