Thunderstorm likely today

Pune: Thunderstorm accompanied with squall is likely to occur on Monday in parts of Meghalaya and Assam, the website of the India Meteorological Department said.
Most places of Meghalaya, where day and night temperatures were markedly below normal on Sunday, already witnessed rain or thundershowers on Saturday. Other northeastern states which received rain were Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The maximum temperature in Shillong on Sunday was 17.5°C and minimum was 6.6°C, in both cases the deviation was 5°C, the IMD website showed. It also predicted 19°C maximum and 8°C minimum temperatures on Monday. (Agencies)
