SHILLONG: South West Khasi Hills police has got some leads in the arson attack on the Uranium Corporation of India (UCIL) guest house at Wahkaji on Sunday.
Police expressed confidence that the culprits will be brought to book.
Unidentified miscreants on Sunday had made a failed bid to torch the UCIL guest house at Wahkaji in South West Khasi Hills. In the incident, the kitchen of the guest house was partially damaged.
Meanwhile, FD Rynjah, OSD, UCIL based in Shillong on Tuesday said that the FIR regarding the arson attack on UCIL guest house, was filed at Mawkyrwat police station by John Teibor L. Sangriang who is an employee of UCIL stationed at Wahkaji.
The Meghalaya Police website had on Monday erroneously named Rynjah instead of Sangriang.
