WKH Students’ body files RTI against DMO

NONGSTOIN: Follow-up the story against the allegation from Challan owners of Shallang that the District Mining Officer K.B. Surong was involved in issuing coal challan without the consent of the owners, the Khasi Student’s Union (KSU) West Khasi Hills on March 21, shot an RTI complaint against the DMR office in Nongstoin.
Johnfisher Nongsiang, KSU president, told The Shillong Times that the RTI was submitted to the Directorate of Mineral Resources, Shillong.
Nongsiang further said “I hope that the Office will give all the documents with facts related to the allegations made by challan owners of Shallang and if they found the office of the DMR has committed foul play then DMO will face legal action.”
