JHADC creates Arts and Culture dept

JOWAI: The JHADC has created a new Arts and Culture Department with an estimated budget of Rs. 88.85 lakh earmarked for it.
“We have decided to create the Department of Arts and Culture in the JHADC which will look into the cultural aspect of the people of Jaintia Hills,” JHADC CEM Thombor Shiwat said during the budget session of the council on Thursday.
Shiwat added that the estimated expenditure of Rs. 88.85 lakh will be spent on the salary and other allowances of the officers and staff of the new department.
