SHILLONG: Urban Affairs Minister Ronnie Lyngdoh informed the Assembly on Friday that the High Court through a recent order had extended the Meghalaya Building Bye Laws to Master Plan areas leaving the KHADC free to approach the appropriate forum on the extension of the rules under autonomous district council areas. In response to the call attention moved by Embhahlang Syiemlieh (UDP) on HS Shylla (MDC) challenging the claim of MUDA on building rules, the Minster in a written reply tabled in House said that as per the order of the Court, “the issues sought to be raised by KHADC shall remain open to be examined in the appropriate proceedings and in the appropriate forum.”
