Minor killed
One truck (ML-04-8840) knocked down one minor boy Arvinson Phawa (2½ yrs), at Lum KC, Kyndongtuber (WJH). As a result, the boy died at the spot.
Attempt to murder
Silon Dhar of Barato village (WJH) lodged a complaint that on March 15 at around 10 pm, one Por Talang and seven others armed with deadly weapons, assaulted and attempted to murder her son Riwahshias Dhar at Myndriang Thwai Shyrgan (WJH), but he managed to escape. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Dr. Norman Tunnel Hospital, Jowai.
School girls harassed
Drinsibon Kharkongor, Principal, Dinet Manik Syiem Higher Secondary School, Nongthymmai, lodged a complaint that on March 21 at around 6 am, one unknown person was disturbing the school girls by pulling and grabbing them while on their way to school.
Woman, son abducted
Hussain Mullah lodged a complaint that on March 15, one Abdul Hai Mullah abducted his wife and his two year old son from his residence at Bhogularbhita (WGH). The complainant alleged that the accused has threatened over phone, to murder his minor son.
Over Rs 28 lakh misappropriated
Rishabh Bawri of M/s Hardeodas Jagannath Pvt. Ltd., Iewduh, Shillong lodged a complaint that one of his employees, Rajesh Barua misappropriated cash Rs. 28,86,810 from the daily sales proceeds of the company. On being caught, he made an agreement to pay Rs. 20,000 on monthly basis with Mrinal Baruah (brother) as guarantor. However, since the last 2 months, he did not pay the money.
