SHILLONG: The KHNAM has shot off a memorandum to the chief executive member of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council over the questionable leasing out of toll gates of the Council.
The KHNAM has alleged that the Council toll gates have turned into commercial establishments for some political organisations. The regional party has urged the KHADC to call for an open tender to lease out the toll gates so that favouritism is rooted out.
The CEM has asserted that the KHADC will come up with an administrative reform committee to improve the functioning of the Council toll gates.
