MeECL worker dies from electrocution

JOWAI: A 45-year-old MeECL worker died from injuries that he received after he fell down from an electric pole around 9.30am on Tuesday morning.
Ratan Choudhury and few other MeECL workers were painting electric poles at Khimusniang Jowai when he tried to paint a pole where electricity was still flowing.
He fell down due to electric shock and was critically injured. He was taken to Dr. Norman Tunnel Hospital here where he succumbed to his injuries.
His body was later shifted to Ialong District Hospital for autopsy before it was handed over to his relative.
