Wakf board
The Government has reconstituted the Meghalaya Board of Wakfs. The new members of the Wakf board are MLA A.T Mondal, former MLA Abdus Saleh, Asad Yousuf, who was a member of the board in 2001, advocate Shanaaz Abbas, Ahmed Hossain, Md Zaheer, secretary of the Muslim Socio Cultural and Educational Association, Noorun Mehraj Warjri, life member of Shillong Muslim Union, Md Shah Noorur Rahman, Sajjad Uddin Ahmed and Mosfique Uddin Ahmed.
Suspension of challan
The Director of Local Fund Audit, Meghalaya, has informed that signing and passing of challan in the office of the Director of Local Fund Audit, Shillong and in the Shillong South Treasury in respect of candidates applying for the posts of peons advertised on February 24, 2017 is temporarily suspended from March 29-31. Challan will be entertained by the office from April 3 and the last date for submission of application forms has been extended till April 5.
