SHILLONG: In an effort to enhance career opportunities for border-dwelling youths, the BSF in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society started a month-long orientation programme on skill development for the unemployed youths of the border areas at Mawpat on Wednesday.
As many as 33 youths from the border districts of East Khasi Hills and East Jaintia Hills joined the skill development programme. The youth will also be trained on physical fitness, general intelligence and reasoning, general knowledge and general awareness, elementary mathematics, basic English, basic Hindi etc.
