NEHU convocation
The XXIV Convocation of NEHU will be held on April 28. Dr. Vijay Kumar Saraswat, member of NITI Aayog (Planning Commission of India), will attend the convocation. The renowned scientist who formerly served as the Director General of DRDO and the Chief Scientific Advisor to the Indian Minister of Defence will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Complaints committee
The State Government has constituted the Internal Complaints Committee on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department. This was informed by the Joint Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department. The Committee includes M S N Marak, Joint Secretary as Presiding Officer, E Jala, Superintendent and K J Nongbet, Senior UDA as members.
Walk for Autism
SAN-KER will organise a ‘Walk for Autism’ at 10am on April 1 from Khyndailad to Mission Compound Community Hall followed by a public discussion on Autism ahead of ‘World Autism Awareness Day’ on April 2.
Prohibition
The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sohra Civil Sub Division, has promulgated an order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting movement of vehicle carrying load more than 6 (six) tons  plying over Wahjapuh Bridge at Ichamati-Bholaganj road. This order shall come into force with immediate effect until further orders.
