SHILLONG: The Sate BJP has urged the Minister of School Education, Deborah Marak to change the uniform school timings which according to the party brought hardships to parents and students
In a statement issued on Thursday, the BJP spokesperson  Basu Chakraborty said that  the party  received numerous complaints from   parents who were affected by the uniform school timing
“The students  mostly come from the under privileged section of the society and also hail from far flung areas. Some of the grown up students even perform domestic works and menial jobs before coming to school”, the statement said, adding that many pupils take private tuitions in the morning prior to attending school. According to BJP, the  sudden notification has come as a blow to the  students.
