SHILLONG: The KSU, North Khasi Hills district and Ri Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF) have rubbished allegations leveled against them by the Civil Society Women Organisation (CSWO-Irene) which accused the pressure groups of taking money from a petrol pump owner at Umran Dairy.
The CSWO(I) alleged that the pressure groups promised to stop opposing the project in return of the money received.
In a press conference here on Friday, members of the two organizations were also accompanied by the manager of the petrol pump Rohit Jain.
Clarifying on the matter Jain said, “The allegations are baseless. We have never been in touch with members of these two organizations (KSU and RBYF).”
The under construction petrol pump is being opposed by certain groups on ground that it will affect the environment.
