Coal dealer yet to get challan after paying Rs 1.39 cr

SHILLONG: A coal dealer from West Khasi Hills is waiting for challan even after he paid the royalty of over Rs 1. 39 crore to Directorate of Mineral Resources for the transportation of the already extracted coal.
A source said on Saturday that the coal dealer who does not wish to be identified, had even paid higher rate of Rs 1200 per metric tonne instead of the prescribed rate of Rs 1193 per metric tone. The source added that this had resulted in huge loss to the coal dealer.
