Govt apprised about damaged school

SHILLONG: The AYWO, (Dainadubi Branch) North Garo Hills, the GSU (Depa Regional Unit), Dainadubi Circle Youth Organisation (DCYO) along with the school authorities of Wage Asi Government L.P. School met the MLA of Kharkutta Constituency, the Deputy Commissioner and the BDO on April 7 apprising them of the recent destruction caused by the hailstones to the school property.
The officers took notice of the situation and assured the delegation that all necessary steps would be taken and materials required for the repair would be provided.
The delegates informed them about the other schools, which were affected by the hailstones. The NGOs urged the concerned authorities to repair the damaged schools at the earliest so that the students are not deprived of their education.
