TURA: The All Garo Hills Government LP School Contractual Teachers’ Association recently submitted a memorandum to Meghalaya Minister of Education and Literacy Deborah C. Marak apprising her of various grievances being faced by teachers.
Among other demands, the teachers have sought regularisation of those teachers who have entered into one-time contractual basis employment for a period of 59 days. They also sought the release of their pending salaries for 15 days in February, 16 days in December and 31 days in January.
