Man killed in family dispute

JOWAI: Headman of Khonshnong village of West Jaintia Hills, Phulbi Passah, informed the In charge (IC), Garampani Police Outpost that something is going wrong in the house of Bhalang Papeng at a place called Madan Laban.
The policemen along with VDPs members rushed to the spot and on being entered the house they found that one person was lying dead in the kitchen.
The dead person is identified as Paitlang Suchiang, who was killed by Rimiki Papeng, the eldest son of Bhalang Papeng.
“We heard people quarrelling inside Bhalang’s house and we immediately informed the police,” a source closed to the headman said.
Police arrested the accused person and interrogating him. Reason behind the killing is not yet known.
