SHILLONG: United Democratic Party (UDP) working president, Paul Lyngdoh has exhorted the people of Songsak to be agents of change.
Speaking at a public meeting at the Songsak playground on Wednesday, Lyngdoh appealed to the youths to be instrumental in bringing that change. “Only a society whose youth dream of a brighter future will prosper and move ahead,” he added.
The UDP president further added that change is possible, when all agree to bring the only capable alternative party to power (UDP).
He also urged upon the people to carry the message forward that UDP is the party of all Meghalayans and that the era of leasing administration of the state to national parties who govern from Delhi should end. UDP general secretary, Allantry Franklin Dkhar, in his address stressed on according due importance to elections, as this is the only opportunity afforded to the people to shape their future.
He emphasised on believing on one’s own strength than falling prey to promises that are subject to fancies of leaders who do not belong to the state.
