Shillong:A traffic sonstable was assaulted with a stone by another person on Thursday at around 5.30 pm.
Bakhraw Rapsang (20 yrs) attacked Traffic Constable Gilbert Sangma of Mawlai Traffic Branch with a stone while he was on duty at Mawlai Nongpathaw, Shillong.
Police arrested the accused.
On April 14 around 10.30 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Iengskhem Mawrie (25) near Mawlyndep under Sohryngkham OP (East Khasi Hills).
As a result, victim sustained injuries and was admitted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
In another incident on April 13 around 9.30 pm, one Banskhemlang Khongthohrem attacked Pynma Khongthohrem (45) with a dao at Nohwet village (EKH).
As a result, victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
In another incident on April 11 around 9 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Baltun A Sangma (20) and his friend Milkon Sangma with wooden sticks at Mohispatonpara village (SWGH).
Balton Sangma sustained injuries.
