SHILLONG: A girl from West Garo Hills was abducted, raped and kept in confinement for three days by a person identified as Ashadur Sheikh.
According to an FIR lodged by the girl, on March 31 around 9 am, the accused, Ashadur Sheikh abducted her and took her from Nayagaon, Tilapara, Bhaitbari to Hajirhat village where she was raped for three days. The victim alleged that she was also threatened not to reveal the incident to anyone.
In another incident, an eleven-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in Ri Bhoi.
According to an FIR filed at Umsning Outpost, on April 8, Rishan Shylla sexually assaulted the minor girl at Ri Bhoi.
