SHILLONG: The HSPDP has asked the State Government to stop illegal collection of money at the weighbridge at 13 Mile, Ri Bhoi.
In a letter to the Government, HSPDP president Ardent Basaiawmoit said that if there is delay in action, the party will be compelled to storm the weighbridge.
According to the HSPDP leader, the party had received several grievances from the coal truck drivers and owners about the corrupt practices at the weighbridge.
Basaiawmoit had earlier raised the issue in the Assembly, but there was no action on the part of the Government.
Post poll alliance
The HSPDP chief reiterated that the party was for post poll alliance minus Congress and BJP, while hinting that it may not put up candidates in some seats to help other regional parties win in those constituencies.
