SHILLONG: State BJP President Shibun Lyngdoh said on Tuesday the party’s MDC in the KHADC, Neil Antonio War, will be shown the door if allegations of misappropriation against him are found to be true.
Speaking to media persons in the city, Lyngdoh said inquiry is still going on into the matter. “If he is involved in the scam, he will be lodged in jail,” he said.
The KHADC House Committee in its report has revealed involvement of the CEM, P.N Syiem, and EM in-charge Finance, War.
The panel is headed by senior Congress leader Mansturdy Nongrem.
The report, tabled recently during a special session of the KHADC House, has pointed out the role of Syiem and War in directing former secretary of the EC Welljune Syiemlieh in the case of alleged misappropriation of Council’s funds.
UDP has already withdrawn its support to the P.N Syiem-led coalition in the KHADC.
