SHILLONG: Assam Education Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday ruled out any alliance in the State and said the party would go it alone and form its own government in Meghalaya after the 2018 elections.
Talking to media persons on Friday, Sarma said a perfect alliance is not possible in Meghalaya but BJP would make “some arrangements” with other political parties if necessary.
When asked if BJP would have an alliance with the Congress in Meghalaya, he said the party has its friends in Meghalaya who are anti Congress for decades and “there is no chance that BJP will have an alliance with the Congress in the State”.
