SHILLONG: The Government of Meghalaya under the Health & Family Welfare Department and National Health Mission will launch a one-day school-based programme to ensure intensive deworming coverage in all the districts of the State. In East Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills, East Khasi Hills, North Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, South West Khasi Hills, West Garo Hills, West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills, May 3 will be the deworming day while a “mop-up day” will be on May 10 to cover those who might be left out earlier. In Ri Bhoi, the deworming day will be on April 27 and the mop-up day on May 3.
