U-15 football: Krang thrash Mawnianglah

SHILLONG: In a lopsided contest, Krang beat Mawnianglah 14-0 in the U-15 football tourney organized by the Shillong Sports Association at Ground III Polo on Tuesday. K Basaiawmoit with five goals and K M Umlong with four goals were the stars of the day for Krang  who made a mockery of their opponents by scoring the first five goals within 12 minutes of play.  While an astounding 13 goals were scored in the first half, only one was netted in the second which saved Mawnianglah some embarrassment. A L Lawriniang (2 goals), M Mawlong, R Lawriniang and K Mawlong (1 goal each) were the other scorers for Krang. On Wednesday, Laitkor will take on Sohryngkham at 3.45 pm.
