CM housing scheme soon to be reality

SHILLONG: Urban Affairs Minister Ronnie Lyngdoh said on Thursday construction of houses under the Chief Minister Housing Assistance Programme at Shillong-Nongmynsong and Nongpoh is nearing completion.
Addressing the media, the minister said, “Housing loan to the tune of Rs 9 crore is from HUDCO. The amount of Rs 4 crore is allotted to Shillong-Nongmynsong and Rs 5 crore for Nongpoh.”
The minister informed that 300 units in Tura have been allotted to beneficiaries. Electricity and water connection and other amenities will have to be provided, he added.
