SHILLONG: In what can be termed as a security breach, hundreds of Aizawl FC fans thronged the pitch at the JN Stadium on Sunday minutes after the referee blew the final whistle.
With barely 25 policemen around, there was nothing that the organizers could do other than requesting the fans to get back to the stands.
The bodyguards of Chief Minister Mukul Sangma also had a few things to worry about as the fans had invaded the ground with the chief minister along with other dignitaries standing in the podium during the prize distribution ceremony.
Later the organizers made a human chain of volunteers to get over with the prize distribution.
