SHILLONG: UDP general secretary Jemino Mawthoh said the Central Executive Committee will decide whether to review the decision to withdraw support from the coalition in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) after the party gets a letter in this regard.
When contacted, Mawthoh said, “When they (those who want a review) write a letter to me asking for a review then I will suggest it to the Central Executive Committee (CEC). CEC is the supreme authority of the party and any decision will be taken it.”
There was a call to review CEC’s decision to withdraw support from the People’s Democratic Front led by CEM KHADC PN Syiem.
However, four UDP MDCs – Donkupar Sumer, Teinwell Dkhar, Albinus Lyngdoh and Equator Nongrang rebelled against the decision and extended their support to Syiem.
