SHILLONG: A girl managed to give the slip to a miscreant who tired to strangulate her. According to police, the incident happened at Jongksha in East Khasi Hills on April 26. According to the 16-year-old vicitm, the accused came from behind and covered her face with a handkerchief and attempted to strangulate her.
