NONGPOH: The Women Organisation of Ri Bhoi District (WORD), in a bid to encourage the winners of the Miss and Mrs Glamour India from Ri Bhoi District, on Tuesday organised a felicitation ceremony at the Science Hall in Nongpoh.
Three women of the District who participated in the national beauty pageant held at Guwahati were felicitated.
Ibapynhun Eve Syiemlieh, winner of Miss Glamour India, Mebarisha Sohphoh, 2nd Runners Up in the Mrs Glamour India, while Leevaris Mawrie, bagged the subtitle category of Mrs Vivacious Glamour India, all three hailing from Ri Bhoi District were felicitated here.
The programme was attended by the Chief Adviser to the Government and local Member of Legislative Assembly of Nongpoh, Dr DD Lapang as Chief Guest, Umsning MLA, Dr C. Lyngdoh as Guest of Honour besides officials from the District Administration, leaders of NGO’s, Officers of the District and families of the winners.
The felicitation ceremony was also attended by the National Director of Mrs Glamour India, Mrs Eldora Betsy Lyngdoh and her team.
