MAWKYRWAT: The youth wing of the United Democratic Party (UDP) in Ranikor circle has accused local MLA and Minister M.M Danggo of being partial in distributing relief materials among villagers affected by last month’s hailstorm.
Youth wing general secretary Bahunlang Sanglein Basan said there was discrimination in distributing materials.
Many villages in Ranikor were affected in the April 2 storm. Houses and crops were damaged in the calamity. However, relief materials are yet to reach all villages.
UDP’s Ranikor circle President P.K Raswai said the party requested the additional DC on Wednesday to speed up the process of providing financial assistance to the affected families near the Indo-Bangla border.
