MAWKYRWAT: Two minor school girls were drowned while they were taking bath in a pond at Photjaud War village, 7 KMs from Mawkyrwat in South West Khasi Hills.
South West Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, H.G. Lyngdoh informed that the incident took place around 2 PM on Thursday. The girls have been identified as Kynjailin K. Lyngdoh (14 yrs) of Nonglang Jyrngam village, West Khasi Hills and Babianghun Syiemlieh (13yrs) of Pyndenlyngdoh village, South West Khasi Hills.
