Tagore’s birth anniversary
Members of Rilbong Sports & Cultural Club will celebrate Tagore’s birth anniversary at ‘Jitbhumi’, Rilbong, at 7 am on May 9, followed by a programme organised by ICCR at Brookside. The members of the Club will also participate in a cultural at 3-30pm at U Soso Tham auditorium.

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
