SHILLONG: Chief Secretary K.S Kropha will write to his Assam counterpart on Tuesday to resume the chief secretary-level talks on border dispute.
Kropha told reporters on Monday that the talks will resume after he gets a response from his counterpart.
“We are committed to pursuing the border issue,” Kropha said.
It was on April 1 that the chief ministerial-level talks were held in Guwahati to discuss the issue.
The Guwahati meet had entrusted the chief secretaries of both the states to pursue the matter.
The State Government had already made the claim of 12 areas by providing documents and maps to substantiate the stand to Assam Government.
