Assault
A woman lodged a complaint that on April 7, one Jelius Lyngdoh Marshillong (22) abducted her minor step-daughter (15) and sexually assaulted her.
In another incident, Sayandeb Dhar, Assistant Manager, Larsen & Turbo, Ltd., camp NEIGRIHMS lodged a complaint that on May 8 circa 5.45 pm, unknown miscreants assaulted one of his employees Manoj Kumar Rout at Mawdiangdiang (EKH) causing injuries to him.
Accident
One person died on the spot following an accident involving two trucks (AS-01C-5875 & PB-12Y-8722) in Wahmynso under Ummulong in West Jaintia Hills. The incident occurred on the night of May 8. Kush Kumar Kamarkar, driver of the truck bearing registration number AS-01C-5875 died on the spot.
On May 10 around 11.15 am, one truck (ML-04-5486) dashed a car (ML-04C-1867) driven by Bekining Blah (25 yrs) at Puriang, NH-44 (EKH). As a result the driver and five occupants of the car sustained injuries and were removed to PHC Mawryngkneng
Body recovered
On May 9, one unidentified body of a male was recovered from 10th Mile (Hanuman Mandir), Khanapara.
One knocked down
On May 9 around 8.30 pm, one truck (AS-01-EC-1019) knocked down Luwis Phawa (50 yrs) near Alpha HS School, Nongpoh (RB). Victim sustained serious injuries and was admitted at CH Shillong.
