Elderly man killed on witchcraft suspicion

SHILLONG: An elderly person was skilled for allegedly practicing witchcraft in a South West Garo Hills village in the early hours of Sunday.
The 70-yr-old old man, Rajan M Marak was hacked to death by Kilman Ch Marak after the latter’s attempt to shoot him with a gun failed. Both Rajan and Kilman are relatives, sources said.
According to sources, Rajan was accused of practicing witchcraft against Kilman.
Police arrested the accused and recovered the SBBL gun and a machete.
