JOWAI: Shiningstar Pala, a resident of Wahiajer village in West Jaintia Hills, escaped from Ialong Civil Hospital on Monday morning.
Shiningstar and his accomplice Skhem Pala, also a resident of Wahiajer, had been arrested on charges of theft. According to police, the accused were taken to Ialong Civil Hospital for medical examination. When they were waiting for the medical officer, Shiningstar broke free and escaped.
