Rape threat
Five miscreants allegedly outraged the modesty of a girl and even threatened to rape her. A woman lodged a complaint that that between March and April, 2017, five persons– Kespelling Mawkon, Baling Mawkon, Tein Tynsong, Israil Mawkon and Bus Dkhar, all from Diengsar village, outraged the modesty of her daughter and also threatened to rape the girl. The accused also threatened the sister and the two brothers of the victim.

Minor raped
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped at ARC, Happy Valley by one Zomawipuia around 3pm on May 15.
One stabbed to death
One person died on the spot after he was stabbed with a dagger near Tura on Sunday. According to police, the victim Ranjan M Marak was assaulted by one Kilman Ch Marak at Okhapara village under Tura PS. The accused also threatened to kill the victim’s daughter. Police said that the victim was a traditional medicinal healer and there no witchcraft angle into the incident.

Fraud
Ajay Thapa and Rocky Nongrum lodged a complaint that one Rituparna Hazarika and Sanjeev cheated them of Rs. 90,000 by asking them to deposit the amount in the account of Rituparna in connection with a business deal. Another person Martin B L Nonglait also lodged a complaint that Rituparna Hazarika cheated him of Rs. 70,000 in a similar manner.

Theft cases
On May 15, unknown miscreant (s) stole music system and pen drive from a Maruti Car (ML-05G-1174) belonging to Baina Nandi parked at IGP Point.
On May 15 around 3.30 am, one Larstone L. Marshillong (20) was apprehended by public from Malki Nongshiliang while he was attempting to break open a car. Later, he was handed over to police.
On May 14 around 12.30 am, one Wanbok Kharpran broke into a shop at Sohryngkham (EKH) but was apprehended by local residents and handed over to police.

Assault
Abhishek Sharma of M/S Abhis Auto Centre, Keating Road Shillong lodged a complaint that on May 8 around 6.30 pm, unknown miscreants attacked him and ransacked his shop.
On May 13, Dipankar Roy assaulted Manik Dey at Keating Road causing injuries to him.

Accident
On May 14 around 1.10 am, one Maruti Alto car (ML-05P-7029) driven by Shallam Nongrum (21) dashed against a wall at Barik. As a result, a lady occupant of the car sustained injuries and was admitted at CH Shillong.
