Assam govt to keep watch on social media

Guwahati: Considering the spurt of allegations of misuse of social media in recent days in the state, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has directed the Chief Secretary and DGP to take stern action against all those involved in such misdeeds.
Discussing issues relating to misuse of social media with senior officials of Home Department on Wednesday, Sonowal advocated for use of appropriate law against all such cases.
He asked the police department to strictly monitor the use of social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram others to check all such incidents. (UNI)
