Nothing is impossible to achieve: Assam Governor

Guwahati: Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit today said positive attitude, strong determination and judicious time management can lead to a successful life.

“Nothing is impossible to achieve, hence students must select their aims in life and then pursue them with positive attitude, strong determination and judicious time management”, the Governor said while interacting with a group of 45 students from Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Umrangsu of Dima Hasao at Raj Bhavan here.
He also urged students to be honest and sincere as there is no short cut to success and the only way is hard work.He asked students to be cultured and sensible and use words like ‘thank you’ which builds camaraderie between the benefactor and beneficiary.
Purohit asked the accompanying teachers to be friend, philosopher and guide to the students as teaching is a noble profession and to adopt a holistic approach towards education.
He also narrated stories of great men like Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and encouraged students to inculcate values like strong determination, will power, discipline and dedication which can help them to reach the zenith of a successful life.
Emphasising the importance of simplicity, sensibility and hard work, the Governor said that these qualities only made Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri great humanist. (PTI)
