Ex-minister seeks UDP ticket

SHILLONG: Former Minister K.K Dkhar has sought ticket from UDP to contest from Pynursla constituency.
A letter in this regard was sent to the UDP Pynursla circle president by Dkhar recently.
It was on January 27, 2015 that Dkhar had quit the post of vice president of Congress after serving for 26 years.
Later, he was enrolled as a member of UDP through its Lapalang unit on August 29, 2016 and subsequently, he was officially accepted in the party during the general council meeting of UDP Pynursla circle on October 10, 2016.
Dkhar had served as MDC in 1994, 1999 and 2004 and won the Assembly seat in 1998 and 2003, respectively.
Pynursla is currently represented by Congress Minister Prestone Tynsong who is seeking re-election in 2018.
